As we know, there are six layers of puppy pads, non-woven fabric, tissue paper, fluff pulp, SAP, and PE bottom film, among them, fluff pulp is the main raw material used in puppy pads.

There is a lot of news on the internet about fluff pulp, such as fluff pulp is not safe, or it is made of recycled raw materials. Is it true or not? what kind of material is fluff pulp made of?

First, what is fluff pulp?

Fluff pulp is made of coniferous woods, such as pine and spruce, which is a natural raw material.

Secondly, the application of fluff pulp

Fluff pulp is mainly used in sanitary products both for pets and humans, which is crushed and mixed with super-absorbent polymer as the absorbent layer.

Thirdly, The bleaching of fluff pulp

Fluff pulp is produced through the pulp-making and bleaching process. Bleaching is not harmful as people thought. First of all, the bleaching of fluff pulp is done in a safe way, for example, elemental chlorinee-free and full chlorine-free bleaching, which basically does not produce harmful substances after bleaching. After that, the fluff pulp after bleaching will be washed several times. The residue in the pulp and the final products will be very small, less than 5mg/kg, which is not enough to cause harm to users.

Last but not least, whether the fluorescent whitening agent is contained in the fluff pulp?

The fluff pulp in sanitary products does not need to add fluorescent brighteners, normal bleaching will be enough. Besides, the non-woven material and other raw materials in the puppy pads do not need to add fluorescent also.

The fluff pulp our factory uses are imported from IP company in the USA, which is in a good reputation for its quality and also for social responsibility (the sustainable plan of the forest).

To summarize: the raw material of fluff pulp is based on natural coniferous wood. The production process of fluff pulp requires bleaching, but after several washes, it will not cause harm to humans. Fluff pulp does not contain fluorescent. So, please feel assured that fluff pulp in the puppy pads is safe enough.
